'Underwater Whispers' 'Animation and little Storybook'

I created an animation based on my story I am tell about a girl who gets bullied, in high school and at home, she feels she has nowhere to go and so she creates her own safe haven, which is underwater. I then decided to use snapshots of the animation and create it into a little story book.

For the animation I just used flat felt, I cut all the shapes and left them loose so I could move each piece around.

'Tamed'

'Tamed' is a piece I did based on a emotion i felt. its based on the fact of having your own freedom and not being chained to the ground, the word freedom can mean anything. 

After the painting I decided to do some testers, I wanted too place lyrics behind the drowning women, so I decided to find some songs I felt was related, using Photoshop. 

Hidden Meaning Paintings

These paintings are the first time I've tried using layering print, inspired by Kelly Rae Roberts, I love these painting I had done because they tell a story. I used these paintings in my work because in each one there is a hidden meaning.

'Hopes and Fears' is based on a girl trying to live life to the max, she does have many hopes in her life to become or have and her fears stops her from getting to them. 

'Reflection' is based on what she see's of herself or what you see of yourself.

'Float Free' is based on how she loves being underwater to find peace.

This painting is based on her feeling trapped, and feels there's no way out.

'Marriage' this is based on forced marriage and how it shouldn't be, its something that should happen naturally. 

'A moment on Weakness' is based on when she gets bullied in high school she abuses herself when shes at a low point.

I made the dolls out of seashells for a underwater theme look.

Underwater Painting

This painting is a collage print, I layered images, text and then painting, stamped, printing patterns on top. This painting is a scene of a women underwater, with lyrics from a song which represents this movement and story, or how I see it. 

I then made the floating womenout of clay so it gave the painting abit of depth. I just wanted the shape of her on the painting I didnt want a detailed painting, otherwise it would look to busy.
